today I learned that here, if people are staying late at the office to finish some stuff up and dinner plans start getting made, when someone suggests opening a wine bottle it's not a joke, it's actually an invitation to go rummage through various drawers in order to find the perfect pair of scissors to open said bottle of wine. Also, it is pretty customary for people to order beer along with their takeaway order. And I'm not one to disoblige with tradition, hence:
